In the beginning, I saw a video clip of a woman playing the violin at Xen Lounge and asked, “Who is this woman playing the violin? She’s playing Gangsta’s Paradise any way she wants to. I mean, she could make the violin sound almost like a guitar. I was stunned. Everything you heard of the original rap song and then some as far as music. I said, “Wow!” With the violin, she was adding more to the music as if it were her own. Her name is Karen Briggs. .....

Joshua Ledet - Love Can Do

 

Joshua is a singer from Westlake. Louisiana. In 2012, he placed 3rd in the eleventh season of American Idol. In 2017, he released a self-titled EP. .... his single titled “Love Can Do”. It’s a very beautiful song. In 2015, Ledet recorded the single which was written and produced by Bernie Herms. On March 6, 2015, Ledet performed the single on a local TV show in Indonesia. Love Can Do was released by Warner Music Indonesia on Aug. 4.

During the time I first heard Will Smith, everybody was rapping back in the 80’s. The radio played a remix of rappers. And when I heard Will Smith’s “Girl’s In the World Ain’t Nothing But Trouble”, I was lost in the story. It was the original 1986 version. Any time a rap song makes you listen, it’s saying something, and Will Smith is a great story telling rapper. That’s the first thing I noticed when I first heard him rap. …….

Remembering the Group Royalty

 

Royalty was an R&B group from the 80’s. There were 3 girls in the group & one guy. In 1985, they released their first single “Super Love\ Are You Happy” on Skin 2 Skin Records. It’s unknown whether or not the single made the charts. I remember the group in the year of 1987, when they released the single “Anyone in Love”.
